U.S. Reissues Call for Circuit Breakers
at 402-MW Dworshak Hydro Project

by Staff
HydroWorld, April 27, 2015

Dworshak Dam inundated the world's largest steelhead habitat and now, just downstream, sits the world's largest hatchery production of steelhead. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has reissued a solicitation to supply circuit breakers and capacitors for the 402-MW Dworshak Dam hydroelectric project in Idaho. Bids now are due May 5.

The Corps' Walla Walla District previously called for bids by April 10. It also took bids by April 15 to supply oil filtration systems for Dworshak. It took bids in February to upgrade the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system at Dworshak on the North Fork Clearwater River.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the Corps said it canceled the previous solicitation for circuit breakers and capacitors and replaced it with the current request. It encouraged previous bidders to resubmit proposals.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912EF15Q0136 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.

Bids are due May 5. For information, contact Ruth Johnson, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, 201 N. 3rd Ave., Walla Walla, WA 99362-1876; (1) 509-527-7222; E-mail: elaine.m.vandiver@usace.army.mil.
