Repair Work to Close Road Near Lower Granite Dam Thursday Evening by Staff Walla Walla Union-Bulletin, March 25, 2015

POMEROY -- Bridge repair work will close part of Almota Ferry Road near Lower Granite Dam Thursday evening.

The closure will begin at 6 p.m. and end about 10 p.m. The work will close the bridge and Almota Ferry Road access to the Offield Landing area.

Access to south-shore recreation areas and Lower Granite Visitor Center west of the dam on Almota Ferry Road will remain open, but only from the south riverbank.

According to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials, the work is to repair a pier on the bridge damaged Feb. 5 during construction at the dam's Juvenile Fish Facility.
