CLARKSTON - It's cruise boat season in Clarkston.

Port of Clarkston Auditor Jennifer Bly said Cruise West's Spirit of '98 started it's trips to the Valley last week and will continue to visit Clarkston each Tuesday throughout the spring and summer.

The cruise originates in Portland and travels up the Columbia, making it's final stop in Clarkston, where passengers go on a jet boat tour of Hells Canyon.

Bly said the Queen of The West, a large paddle boat, will begin it's trips in August. And for the first time, passengers from around the world will have the option to fly into Lewiston and begin their Columbia River adventure in Clarkston.
