Lower Monumental Dam in arid Southeastern Washington impounds a reservoir of 28.7 miles in length. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to supply electrical equipment for 810-MW Lower Monumental Dam in Washington. Bids are due Dec. 4.

The Corps' Walla Walla District also seeks bids Dec. 6 to replace wheel and axle assemblies of a 600-ton powerhouse bridge crane at Lower Monumental. It awarded a contract in September to Konnowac LLC for spillway weir modifications at Lower Monumental and took information in August on firms capable of performing fish passage studies at the project.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the Walla Walla District now seeks bids to supply panel boards, transformers, a pump panel, and an enclosure for Lower Monumental.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912EF14Q0013 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.

Bids are due Dec. 4. For information, contact Ruth Johnson, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, 201 N. 3rd Ave., Walla Walla, WA 99362-1876; (1) 509-527-7222.
