What left of fall salmon fishing is mostly upstream of Bonneville Dam, where 75 boats were angling Saturday at the mouth of the Klickitat, 35 off the mouth of the White Salmon and 35 outside Drano Lake.

Bank anglers also had excellent chinook catches in the lower Klickitat River. Catches are pretty good in the North Fork of the Lewis River.

Swift Reservoir is producing rainbow trout, along with some small coho and small chinook.

The reservoir has more color than normal for the fall, no doubt the result of the late September rain deluge. Trollers are getting trout on worms fished with a half-ounce of weight at 50 "pulls"" behind the boat.

Swift is seven feet below full pool. Boats can be launched to 25 feet below full.

Lower Columbia -- Cathlamet, one bank rod and three boaters with no salmon or steelhead. (WDFW)
