Dam Removal Helps
Our Salmon and Orcas

by Jorge Montiel
Bainbridge Island Review, July 9, 2019

To the editor:

The orca population here is dying. The southern resident orcas who reside in Puget Sound are endangered.

Not only endangered but also critically in peril; their main grub, the chinook salmon are in shortage too!

That’s why mobilizing the people is crucially important at this time. To feed our orcas and to populate the Sound with more king salmon (same to chinook) we need Senators Cantwell and Murray to support the removal of four dams on the Snake River. This is what I stand and write for.
