Walla Walla Union-Bulletin, March 7, 2015

Little Goose Dam in southeast Washington state backs up a 37 mile reservoir on the Lower Snake River, known as Lake Bryan. Navigation locks at dams on the Columbia and Lower Snake rivers will be closed during the next several weeks for annual inspections, maintenance and repairs.

The locks at McNary Dam on the Columbia River and on the Lower Snake River at Ice Harbor Dam, Lower Monumental Dam, Little Goose Dam and Lower Granite Dam will be closed through April 4. Locks at dams on the Columbia River are scheduled to resume service on March 21.

Due to the work, the vehicle crossing at Lower Monumental Dam will be closed March 9 through March 27 and the crossing at Little Goose Dam may experience temporary closures. The crossing at Lower Granite Dam will remain open.

Travelers can call 1-888-326-4636 for the most current crossing information.
