Lowery Letter:
Snake Dams

by Odos Lowery
Idaho Statesman, September 20, 2017

(Jeff T. Green) The Ice Harbor Lock and Dam on the lower Snake River near Burbank, Washington. While returning only 15 cents for every dollar spent to taxpayers, the lower four dams on the Snake River are driving Idaho's salmon and steelhead to extinction.

A very small group of people benefit from these dams, at the expense of most of us. They deal with outright lies and twisting the biologic and economic truth.

Bonneville Power is bankrupt. They have only been making interest payments on their massive debt. They now have to start making payments on the principal of this debt.

The PUDs that buy power from them will see a huge increase in price.

This power will now go from being the cheapest in the nation to the most expensive.

Explore the facts for yourself.
