(AP Photo/Rick Bowmer) The Port of Portland's Terminal 6 is shown Friday, June 29, 2012, in Portland, Ore. The first cargo ship in months is set to call on Port of Portland Tuesday.

The company, ICTSI Oregon, which operates the container terminal at the Port of Portland said Westwood Shipping will return to the port's Terminal 6 -- the first time a container ship has called on the port since early April.

"We are partnering diligently with the Port of Portland to confirm all equipment is ready to work in a safe and efficient manner," ICTSI Oregon CEO Elvis Ganda said in a statement.

The carrier is the only remaining company moving containers at the Port of Portland.

Earlier this year, the port lost more than 95 percent of its container business.

South Korean based-Hanjin shipping and German-based Hapag-Lloyd left because of long loading and unloading times at the port.

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union and their employer -- ICTSI Oregon -- have been in a labor dispute that's lasted more than a year.
