U.S. to Seek Breaker Reconditioning
at 810-MW Little Goose

Little Goose Dam (USACE Digital Visual Library) WALLA WALLA, Wash., U.S. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Walla Walla District plans to seek bids for reconditioning of circuit breakers at 810-MW Little Goose Dam, on the Snake River in Washington. Bids are expected to be due about January 17, 2011.

The Corps took bids in November for replacement of diesel generators and switchgear at Little Goose and two other Snake River hydroelectric projects in Washington.

The agency now plans to seek bids for reconditioning of five DB25 circuit breakers and three DB50 circuit breakers, to include retrofitting of an ARC Flash Reduction Maintenance Switch, at Little Goose.

The solicitation is to be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, with bids to be due about ten days later. A pre-solicitation notice may be obtained from the site by entering solicitation No. W912EF11R0014 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.
