Chinook Fishing Reopens Saturday Below Bonneville by Henry Miller Statesman Journal, May 21, 2013

Fishing for hatchery Chinook salmon reopens Saturday on the main Columbia River channel downriver from the fishing deadline below Bonneville Dam.

The daily limit is two adult fish, only one of which can be a Chinook in the six-fish limit. All sockeye salmon, unclipped Chinook and unclipped steelhead must be released. The minimum size for salmon is 12 inches.

Bank anglers are allowed to fish from the Tongue Point/Rocky Point line east of the Red Buoy No. 44 upriver to the Bonneville deadline about four miles downriver from Powerhouse No. 1 at the dam. Boat anglers are restricted to the Tongue Point/Rocky Point line upriver to Beacon Rock.

Fishing will be allowed through June 15 for adipose fin-clipped Chinook and hatchery fin-clipped steelhead and jack salmon.
