Letters: Salmon Recovery Plan

by Andy Maser
The Oregonian, March 1, 2011

Last summer I made a film about the incredible migration of Snake River salmon. I followed their journey from southeastern Alaska to the Sawtooth Valley of Idaho. Along the way, I spoke with fishermen, scientists and tribal members. Each had a different story, but all had one common message: Removing the four lower Snake River dams is the most effective and maybe only way to save these fish.

The fact that NOAA Administrator Jane Lubchenco, who once called the Northwest home, ignored these people and this science is shameful.
