Water Dispute

by Janet Harshfield
The Idaho Statesman, September 28, 2003

Is the water dispute really about saving the salmon or is it about taking Idaho´s water?

A recent news release in The Idaho Statesman stated: The Pacific Salmon Commission brokered a major agreement in 1999 that sharply reduced the catch of Pacific Northwest Salmon off the coast of Canada.

Salmon runs in the Northwest have reached record levels in recent years.

Environmentalists will again use the Endangered Species Act as their tactic to take away the productive irrigated lands just as “they” have put a stop to the mining and timber industries.

Idaho´s economy is being destroyed and people displaced to produce a “pre-Columbian” air castle.

Propaganda leads us to believe that we are the cause of all ills. “Their” scheme is to intimidate. What “they” don´t get by laws “they” will get by creating “mind barriers.”
